This form is for New Zealanders who have experienced difficulties accessing micronutrient supplements, including people who have lost or had difficulty maintaining access to a supplement they previously used, people who would like to try a micronutrient supplement but have been unable to access it, and people who believe micronutrient supplements should be more accessible in New Zealand.
We are asking MPs to support changes that would improve access to micronutrient supplements in New Zealand, including revision of the Dietary Supplements Regulations 1985, increasing or removing outdated restrictions on permitted nutrient doses, allowing evidence-based supplements to be used for therapeutic purposes without automatically requiring classification as medicines, and enabling effective supplements to be considered for Pharmac funding.
The form takes approximately 3 minutes to complete and provides a simple way to share your experience or perspective directly with your local electorate MP. Todd Stephenson MP has asked people affected by these access issues to contact their local MP and copy him into their correspondence.
Your responses will be used by Te Puna Toiora | Mental Health and Nutrition Research Lab to prepare an email to the MP you select. When you submit the form, you will be given a button to open the prepared email in your email app. If this is not supported by your device, you can copy the prepared email instead.
